While watching CinemaSins’ “Everything Wrong With Guardians of the Galaxy” video a while back…

…I found myself pondering one of their humorous nitpicks way more than I should’ve.

So imagine my surprise when this happened (and on April Fools’ Day, no less):

Subliminally Yours – Part 5: Captain America: The First Avenger


When Arnim Zola is seen gathering his papers during the evacuation of the HYDRA base in the movie Captain America: The First Avenger, one of the sheets he reaches for is a blueprint depicting an odd humanoid with a camera-like device for a head.

As a Swiss biochemist myself, trust me when I say that the research I've conducted has never anywhere near this interesting. :P

While the implications of this will go over the head of your average movie goer, this is, in fact, a reference to the genetically engineered body he ended up creating for himself  in the mainstream Marvel Universe.

It would appear that burlesque can be adapted to suit the tastes of any audience. Including monsters.

So…uh…do we stuff bills in her ribcage or somewhere else entirely? o_O
